The Dr. Olusegun Asekun Resource Centre serves as a repository for academic resources, event information, and a vibrant legal community centred at the Faculty of Law, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye.
At its heart is the annual Olu Asekun National Moot Court Competition — bringing together law students from across all six geopolitical zones of Nigeria.
The inaugural Olu Asekun National Moot Court Competition held on 13th–14th June 2024 at OOU, Ago-Iwoye.
A world-class building at the Faculty of Law, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye — housing two fully equipped moot court rooms, judges' chambers, and offices. Donated entirely by Dr. Olusegun Asekun and dedicated on 21st June 2023.
Dr. Olu Asekun is an alumnus of the Faculty of Law, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Nigeria. As a committed alumnus, he single-handedly donated a world-class building housing two fully equipped moot court rooms complete with judges' chambers and offices.
He started his legal career in 1994, co-founding Ogunbanwo, Asekun, Okusanya & Co. in Lagos. In 2002, he relocated to the United States, passed the New York Bar Exam at first attempt within three months, and founded The Law Office of Olu Asekun, PC in Arlington, Texas.
He subsequently obtained a Doctorate Degree in Transformational Leadership and is a renowned legal luminary and philanthropist dedicated to promoting legal excellence.
